Technical Person @ Established Creative Agency (New Westminster)

Date: 2011-10-17, 1:04PM PDT

E-Mail to: job-yat56-2654708130@craigslist.org

You are considered brighter than average. You know how to do a lot of technical stuff, and even if you’re not an expert, you can almost always find out how to do what’s needed. You can hand code HTML and CSS even if you need to look up syntax sometimes. You can install WordPress and maybe even Drupal. You might be able to skin a WordPress site from a PSD, and that would be great. You might have been familiar with DOS in the past. Hopefully you’re familiar with Linux now. You know what SQL is and have used it before. You can listen to a programmer, then turn around and explain what they said to your mother. If I showed you some PHP or Javascript, you could probably tell me roughly what it does. You’re picky about details. Just for fun (or maybe because you can’t help it), you think of better organized, or more efficient ways of doing things. People tell you to “take a break” more often than they tell you to “work harder”.

This is an intermediate position. You should have a few years experience with an insatiable appetite to learn more. You don’t have to be a Knight Rider fan, but it will help you get noticed if you mention the name of Michael’s car in the subject line when you send your resume and cover letter to jobs (at) 612creative.com.

Tip: If you want to stand out from the pack a) write me a cover letter that demonstrates why this job ad describes you perfectly, and b) keep it to a couple short paragraphs because if you write a short story I might skip over it.
