This person must have a passion for coding and delivering dynamic content. Database driven websites, working with opensource CMS’s, understanding of mobile web development. Be at the for front of dynamic code trending and current web technologies.


- XHTML, XHTML MP, CSS, PHP, Javascript/Jquery, MySQL – you don’t have to be savant coding genius, but a solid solid understanding of the languages.

- CMS’s : WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Expression Engine.


- Photoshop(not designing, but cropping and optimizing)

This is a contract by contract in-house position (all work is done on-site). If everything goes as planned this could be a full-time gig. The rate is $25-$35 per hour or more – just tell me how much you think you’re worth.

Projects involve the creation of online data-gathering and data-management tools and surveys. I am looking to hire someone to develop/build a media based website, for an up and coming business in Vancouver. We are a Production/Post-Production company based in the downtown/kitsilano area.

Perhaps the most important thing about any sort of media/production based website is the level of interactivity with the end-user. To that effect, I would say we are looking to build something that has the ability to play back rich media content (videos, photos) seamlessly.

Some key things I am looking for:

• HTML and CSS compliant

• HTML5 video as opposed to anything that relies on Flash Player (this will increase the number of devices that are able to view the site properly, especially when it comes to the mobile market)

• Some sort of WordPress based blog for news updates, etc.

• Easily updatable once it has been delivered to us (I’m not a web developer, and I don’t really want to have to find one each time we want to add something)

This is contract job and you will be paid a flat rate. I’m not looking for anything flashy, something that can be put together in a few days, and that will be simple to use.
